Although we encourage the development of websites marketing the Overberg, it recently came to our attention that a site almost identical in content to www.overberg.co.za surfaced on the web. There are various companies, including Overberginfo.com that have been providing quality content for some time and we hope that they'll continue to market our region. Unfortunately, in this case, the transgressor was happy to blatantly copy content from our site.

Apart from the obvious fact that information and ideas published on this "pirate" site, were a direct copy of content published on www.overberg.co.za, the offending party also ran a Google Advert with wording almost identical to an ad we launched in our campaign, many weeks earlier.

We intend to send a clear message that we won't tolerate any copyright infringement and that we will protect all material and electronic rights, pertaining to www.overberg.co.za.  Our legal advisors are currently investigating the matter and will advise on a course of action.

We want to warn advertisers, not to be tricked by these unethical individuals and to make sure that they align themselves with a site and company commited to fair business practise.  Our huge investment in upgrading our long established Overberg Website, should confirm our commitment to the Overberg.  We will continue to grow this portal by publishing quality content  and by maintaining an active marketing campaign.

If we say that this website will be the Number 1 Overberg Business Directory, we intend to keep that promise...
