Its Whale Festival Time Again! PDF Print E-mail

ImageSeptember is the month for the Annual Whale Festival in Hermanus.

As tourists flock to our splendid little town to catch a sighting of the Southern Right Whales, Hermanus once again becomes a hub of activity and the cliffs a bustle of eager Whale Watchers.

This year the festival has an emphasis on “Going Green” with a significant focus on environmental affairs and “green” living with a daily Enviro-Expo at the Market Square.

Festival goers can revel in music, watch whales, enjoy comedy shows and dance the night away to funky vibes at local clubs and live performances.

They can also indulge in Hermanus' beautiful surrounds, the best land-based whale watching town in the world! Listen out for  the local whale-crier as he blows on his kelp horn to let you know where the whales are today.

Hermanus is undoubtedly the place to be in the month of September – come and join the locals for the time of your life!
