The temperature is predominantly Mediterranean. The summer (December-February) days are glorious and people at the coastal regions spend hours lazing around on the beaches and swimming in the sea. In contrast, during the winter (May-August) months, snow can be expected on mountain-tops and higher lying inland areas.
